Carter Ward

Rocking burnt orange headphones in middle-school, Carter was always deeply engaged in music. Motivated to play drums so that he could play with his father, who played guitar, Carter joined the middle school band and quickly started learning percussion. Fast forward many years and Carter and Coleman are working together on their first mixtape, Roots, a collection of songs that reflected their early growth as artists, but more importantly, as people. Already, the concept of knowing their “Roots” was taking hold.

The people they met, the friends they made, and lessons they learned shaped them as people and have always been infinitely more important than streams, downloads, or dollars. Today, Carter continues to serve as a primary songwriter, vocalist, producer, and engineer for Fordson Labs. Let me see your roots.
